December 2021 while on contract in Fredericksburg, VA, Cody completed his Introductory Course through the Court of Master Sommeliers and passed receiving his Level 1 Introductory Sommelier Degree. His next steps are to eventually move up to New York City to work underneath a Sommelier to study to become a Certified Sommelier (passing Level 2) hopefully in 2023/24. He continues to self-study on his own while working in theatre, and looks to make connections with wine wherever he goes.
